Silent Hill is where it all began for me. I was an angsty teenager who was obsessed with video games. Resident Evil 2 had scared the crap out me most recently, and I actually stopped playing it because there seemed to be no point - nothing of real interest. So then Silent Hill comes along and the story was just amazing to me at the time.

Even now, I still find it amazingly intrigueing! I think to date I've played the game over 23 times. I lost count at some point along the way. I wanted to see every possible thing in the game and then see it again, because the story was just so insane.

So, instead of giving you some boring mantra about what the "story" of Silent Hill was, I'll assume that you've either played it or that you haven't played it. If you have played it you don't need the explanations and if you haven't it, well then, I don't want to ruin the surprise for you. All I'll say is, "Let me ask you. Have you seen a little girl around here? Short, black hair..."
